Located just off Main Street Sheffield Illinois, The Historical Sheffield Public Library is one of only 83 original Carnegie Libraries left in Illinois. The Sheffield Public Library is home to an ever growing collection of literary resources provided with a personal touch and inviting atmosphere to our community.

The goal of the Sheffield Public Library is to provide quality materials and services which fulfill educational, informational and recreational needs of the entire community in an atmosphere that is welcoming, respectful and businesslike. We also strive to consistently discover new methods and improvements to better serve the library's patrons.
